Today we had a sports exchange with Kamo primary they were playing rugby and hockey.
We went out and watched the games with these questions in our heads;
What are rules? and why do we need to follow them?
Do we need rules to be free?

Back in class we discussed our answers. we came up with the following statements;

Rules keep you safe, if you want to walk on the roof you could fall. If you walk out in the road you could get hurt. - Andre

Rules are good for half the time. It is boring for the other half.
For example you could get grounded for silly rules like not going to the shop next door on school days. The good reasons for rules are that you might die if you do not follow them.

Friendship Qualities.

We were faced with a list of attributes for friendship and asked to place them in order.
For example;

Someone who spends time with you
Someone who is honest
Someone who always sticks up for you.
Someone who is kind.
Someone who has a similar background to you.
Someone you trust.
Someone who goes to the same school.
Someone who shares the same culture.
Someone who likes to do similar things to you.
Someone who likes the same music to you.

This led to a lot of discussion as to what makes a friend...
